* Simon Craine
appointed as Trustee and commercial lead
* Following a productive meeting with the representative from
Strawsons (The owners of the former RAF Upwood site) we expect to
secure a licence to safeguard the fabric of Guardroom pending the
eventual lease or purchase of the site for the permanent archive.
* Initiatives launched to inform and reassure local residents groups
of our plans and activities.
* Work started on the production of informative leaflets, letters
and flyers for distribution to interested groups and members of the
public.
* Continued progress in the production of policy statements for
collection, storage and conservation of material.
* Significant upgrading and restructuring of the Public Forum
(Airfield Information Exchange) to better serve the needs of the
membership community.

* Upgrade of flagship AIX Forum to "professional" VBulletin platform
to take place week ending July 19th 2009.

* Digital Archive policy meeting at Nottingham City Airport
* "AiX - ARG Archive Limited held it's first information display at
the official opening of the South Yorkshire Royal Observer Corps
Museum at Aeroventure in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, on Sunday 2nd
August 2009. The display consisting of eight boards contains images
of the past, present and envisaged future of the guardhouse at the
former RAF Upwood. Information relating to the company and it's aims
and objectives are also featured.
The display was received very well, both Simon Craine and Noel Ryan
were kept busy answering questions about the buildings, the archive
and the project, many information leaflets were also given out.
